The First Championships is always a long day with the annual presentations but we worked to schedule and the racing was completed shortly after four, including trials.
The WCRA have decided to hold a Superstars Veteran Sprint at the bend championships for the first time this year.
As many of you will know, the WCRA brought DNA profiling into effect to protect the purity of the breed and this was done as a result of and in consultation with affiliated clubs at an Extraordinary Club Representatives meeting over 5 years ago.

A lovely Indian Summer’s day and the ground getting closer to how we want it; credit to Ray Pond, Ian German and Garry Comber who have done the bulk of the preparations and ground work; improvements to the venue are set to continue over the winter months.
The venue will be The Whippet Meadow, at Detling near Maidstone, Kent.
