Statement from the Chairman
We are pleased to announce that our Rule change passed at the last Whippet Club AGM in March 2016 has now been ratified by the Kennel Club.
Therefore, with immediate effect, passport applications are acceptable without DNA profiling.
The following options apply until 31st October 2016:
- Passport Applications acceptable without DNA profiling – £10 fee applicable
- Passport Applications acceptable that are inclusive of DNA profiling – No fee and free entry to the 4th Championships 2016.
On or after 1st November 2016
All passport applications to include a £10 fee without DNA profiling will be acceptable, however, for individuals who wish to continue there remains an option to include DNA profiling.
Note: For those who have started the DNA process (i.e. already paid for the kit), please get in touch with the Registrar (Garry Comber). As the profiling has been paid for, it makes sense for the DNA process to be completed for these passport applications therefore we will honour the arrangement for 2016 and these applications will remain free of charge.
