2025 has proved to be a tough year for whippet racing as the long spell of dry and very hot weather has affected the tracks and the limits of humans and canines alike. However, the tenacity and hard work of the ground crews to keep racing going hav been highly commendable.
The Heart of England Club have graciously agreed to continue their support and hosting of our Championships into 2026. We have had to reorganise a couple of our dates but we are now pleased to confirm the dates and format for our 2026 Championships are as follows:-
1st Championships / 19th April
150 yards main straight and 145 yards Veteran Crowns
2nd Championships / 14th June
240 yards main bend and 140 yards straight Veteran Sprint
3rd Championships / 9th August
150 yards main straight and 145 yards Veteran Crowns
4th Championships / 13th September
240 yards main bend and 140 yards straight Veteran Sprint
