Whippet Club Championship Show, 6th April 2019 – Critique for Special Awards classes

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me and more importantly the exhibitors for giving me the such a nice entry.I was truly spoilt for choice.


Dogs

Special Award’s Yearling Dog/Bitch

  • 1st: Snelgrove’s Kamasal Starlight Rascal at Huntinghill. Fawn/white Bitch 14 months. This girl is full of quality. Lovely size with a gentle expression, long neck into correct shoulder’s, tight feet with strong pastern’s. Nice spring of rib, curvy outline with good tuck up. Strong rear with well let down hock’s. Moved true in all directions with a long low stride.
  • 2nd: Price’s Wheelspin silver shadow among Silkdance. Fawn Male 21 months. This boy is such an honest whippet, nothing overdone. Good head with alert expression,well made front assembly with depth of chest. Strong back with nice rise over loin. Good width of second thigh, hocks well let down. Moved true coming and going.

Open Dog/Bitch

  • 1st: Morris, Waddell, Mycroft. Crosscop let it shine for Supeta. Fawn Bitch 21 months. This girl catches the eye and does not disappoint.hands flow smoothly across. Femine girl of correct size with a soft alert expression. Long neck into well layered shoulders. Deep chest with good spring of rib. Strong loin into well made hindquarter’s. Stands on tight feet with good pasturn’s and well let down hocks. Moved with such a free flowing low action not putting a foot out of place on the day. A bright future ahead.
  • 2nd: Marston-pollock Ch Falconcrag another class. Fawn Male 3 1/2 year’s. Worthy Champion. Elegant correct size male with kind expression. Long muscular neck. Good depth of chest with well sprung ribs. Strong loin with gentle rise. Strong thighs and well let down hocks which he uses so well on the move. He has a lovely driving action holding his topline to complete the picture.
