Joanna was on The Whippet Club committee for many years during the seventies, eighties and nineties. She was Chairman for some years and edited The Whippet magazine from 1985 to 1996. Joanna was on the committee that founded the Whippet Club Racing Association and was its first Registrar.
Joanna’s deep and enduring involvement with the breed is – and will be – well documented but to those of us fortunate enough to know her and work with her she was welcoming and helpful to newcomers, with an irreverent sense of humour and tireless in her work supporting her breed. Truly a member of Whippet royalty.
