I would like to thank the committee of The Whippet Club for their kind invitation to Judge at their championship show. To my ring stewards Jackie, Stu & Lou for all of their hard work and you the exhibitors for entering your dogs. I very much appreciate the entry given the difficult times we are living in.


Special Veteran Dog (7-9 Yrs) 8 (1)

  1. Shepherds Ch Citycroft Sundae with Oxana
    Fawn /white trim This boy is so balanced of correct size. Carries a good head with alert expression into strong neck. Shoulders well laid with strong back into well muscled rear. He moves effortlessly with a long low stride showing no signs of his age. Pleased to award him best veteran and Best veteran in show with agreement of my co judge.
  2. Troutons Runnel Run for fun
    Fawn/white trim Correct size boy with strong Jaw. Deep chest with good infill. Shows a curvy underline. Strong loin with good rear angulation. Moved well out and back.

Special Veteran (10+) 4(1)

  1. Smiths Ch Int/Ire CH Collooney Jawhawk
    White brindle parti boy who is of correct size. Very balanced with long neck into good front assembly. Deep chest with spring of rib. Good rise over the loin into nicely muscled rear. He moved freely with good foot fall out and back.
  2. Russells Glantam going my way
    Fawn/white trim Another boy of correct proportions. Front assembly is clean with good front fill and depth of chest. Shoulders well laid back with elbows tuck neatly in. Strong over the loin with good muscling in the rear. Stands on good feet. He moved true out and back.

Minor Puppy Dog 9

  1. Mycroft,Mycroft & Powell Supetas Jammie Dodger for Almakaela
    Fawn/white trim This boy stood out in the class with his happy positive personality. He has a classic head with alert expression. and strong under jaw. His neck is long and clean into well laid shoulders. He has good front assembly with depth of chest for one so young. He curves in all the right places. He is well muscled with well let down hocks. He moved soundly once settled with a free easy stride. Out and back he was foot perfect. He was presented in tip top condition. Pleased to award him the Rcc and best puppy. He was Best puppy in show on agreement with my co judge.
  2. Morris Waddle & Poole Falconcrag Matchmaker at Crosscop
    Fawn/white trim Another lovely pup with a bright future. Good head with strong neck and clean front. Hands flow over top and underline with nice rise over the loin. Slightly larger cast than class winner. Stands on tight feet which he used well on the move with good footfall. I just preferred the rear angulation on the class winner today.

Puppy Dog 11

  1. Brodie & Owen Wolfcastle Crown Jules
    Fawn/White parti Correct size boy with lots to like about him. He has an alert expression with neat rose ears. His neck is strong into well laid shoulders. He shows a perfect whippet underline with gentle curves. Clean rear quarters well muscled. He moved soundly out and back.
  2. Rankin & Levell Reffton Kiri
    White fawn parti A lighter frame than class winner but plenty to like. He has a good head with a long neck which flows into his laid back shoulders. Elbows neatly tucked alongside his deep chest. His underline sweeps into the classic S curve. His rear is muscled with width of second thigh. Move soundly out and back with a nice long low stride.

Junior Dog 7

  1. Yacoby wright Cobyco catch your eye
    Fawn /white trim balanced boy with strong head and under jaw. Clean neck into good shoulders. Strong back with nice rise over the loin. His rear is well muscled with good well let down hocks which he used on the move to display a driving action. Would like a tad more body weight on him to complete the picture but he won this class on his excellent movement.
  2. Morlands Zoraden Master Baker
    Fawn/white trim another quality boy of correct size. Alert expression with good ear set. Neck clean into well laid shoulders. Good spring of rib with strong back and loin. He stands on good feet with sloping pasterns and well let down hocks. He moved with a driving action from behind.
    I was splitting hairs in this class of lovely males.

Yearling Dog 13 (4)

  1. Richards Richclass from here on out
    Fawn/white trim Balanced boy of nice size. Clean neck into nice shoulders. Good front fill with depth of chest. Good bone and feet. Strong and muscular rear. Moved freely with a low stride
  2. Prices Kierpark Moonlight Shadow among Silkdance
    Brindle parti lovely size shape and make. Long neck into clean shoulders well laid back. Deep chest with spring of rib. Curvy underline. Moved well out and back .I just preferred the movement on the class winner today.

Maiden Dog 3

  1. Allansson & Mc Donald Zoraden Simply the zest of macalldon
    Fawn /white trim This boy is up to size. His neck is clean and strong into well laid shoulder curves in all the right places with a gentle rise over his loin. Good second thigh with well let down hocks. Moved with ease which won him this class.
  2. Burton Ballenbreich Harris
    Brindle of nice size lots to like about this boy. Alert expression with strong under jaw. Good front assembley with depth of chest. Firm strong back leading to well muscled rear with width of second thigh. Lost out on movement to the class winner today

Novice Dog 9 (3)

Undergraduate Dog 8

  1. Arkell Hijacked of Suriya
    Brindle /white trim Up to size but balanced. Good head with strong jaw. Well sprung ribs with broad back. Nice rise over the loin. Well muscled rear. Stands on good feet
    Moved with purpose showing a drive from behind which won him this class
  2. Hull & Howgate Palmik Turn it on Again
    Brindle boy of super size. He presents such a beautiful picture when stacked with sweeping underline. His neck is strong into well laid shoulders. Good front fill with depth of chest. Well made rear with good width of second thigh and let down hocks. His movement is free flowing with a long easy reach and drive from behind.

Post Graduate Dog 15 (4)

  1. Turnbulls Ticks the boxes at Turnstone
    Brindle of good size with a shapely profile. His front assembly is well made with good fill. Deep chest with good spring of rib with a sweeping underline. Strong quarters well muscled. Moved true out and back with a low easy reach
  2. Yeats,Winter & Morland Zoraden Maserati
    Fawn/white trim Larger framed boy than class winner. Good head with alert expression. Long neck into good shoulders. Nice bladed bone with springy pasterns and tight feet. Curvy top and underline into well made rear. Moved true out and back

Mid Limit 12 (2)

  1. Dreamjet Float my Boat at Runforest
    White parti Lovely size boy with good head and ear set. His neck is strong into well made shoulders with good bone. Elbows neatly tucked with a good deep chest. He stands on good feet with springy pasterns. Strong back with nice rise over his loin. Well constructed rear with good muscle tone. Moved soundly out and back. In profile he was at times a little to quick for his handler.
  2. Shepherds Kidaruka its showtime at Oxana
    Fawn /white trim Another correct size male Good head with strong under jaw. Nice arched strong neck flowing into good shoulders. Straight front with nice spring of pastern and standing on tight feet. Back muscular and firm with arch over the loin. Good second thigh with let down hocks. Moved true with a flowing long stride.

Limit Dog 15 (2)

  1. Myers & Pilkinton Supetas Show and tell Astrazone
    White/brindle parti Good size with a classic whippet shape. Good head with nice ear set. Well made front with ample brisket and front fill. Curvy underline. Strong well muscled back into well constructed rear. Nice second thigh with well let down hocks. Stands on good feet. He moved freely with a low long stride.
  2. Soffe Zoraden Macchiato
    Fawn /white trim Good head with strong jaw. Neck flows into good shoulder lay. Front assembly is straight with nice bladed bone elbows sitting tight. Pasterns well sprung with good feet. Well sprung ribs with muscled back. Hind quarters are good with width and bend of stifle. Moved true out and back

Open Dog 9 (2)

  1. Winkley-Balmer & Poole Edenwhip Can I be Me
    This boy is perfect for size. He showed his socks off today. He has all that I was looking for in a male. Alert expression with strong jaw. His neck is elegant and strong with a good lay of shoulder with flat muscle. His front is straight with good front fill. Springy pasterns with neat feet. His underline sweeps back with a correct s shape. Back is muscled with a gentle rise over the loin. Hindquarters are strong with a good width of second thigh. Nothing is overdone. He presents a beautiful balanced shape & make. He moved so at one with his handler showing a low easy long reach with drive from behind. Pleased to award him the CC today and Reserve best in show in agreement with my co judge.
  2. Varnam & Parker Supetas Mojito For Aylros
    Fawn /white trim Balanced boy of slightly larger proportions than the class winner. He has a good head with arched neck. Shoulders are well laid back. Straight front with deep chest. Top-line and underline are classic whippet. His back is muscled into well made hindquarters. Hocks well let down. He moved with a free flowing stride holding his top-line well.

  2. Webber Lolani Ride a Wild Trail
    Brindle of good size. Alert expression with clean neck into well made front. Deep chest with curvy underline. He is well muscled with strong back.
    His rear angulation is good with width of second thigh. Stands on neat feet. Moved well out and back.
