Bitch Critique – Whippet Club Championship Show, April 2024

Whippet Club Championship Show April 2024 Full

First and foremost I’d like to thank The Whippet Club – the Secretary Mary Anderson and her hardworking committee for this prestigious appointment. Probably being my last assignment, having been involved in this beautiful breed since the early seventies. We were made very welcome and the show had a great atmosphere. I’d also like to thank the sporting exhibitors for the wonderful entry I had to go over. In an entry of this size, it was inevitable that many lovely bitches went unplaced. Also huge thanks to my young stewards Amy and Nicky for doing a stirling job to keep my ring running smoothly.

I was looking for a balanced little hound that was soundly constructed with no exaggerations and fit for function, but also retaining complete femininity that I love in a whippet bitch. My co-judge, Stephanie O’Brien and I were in agreement for our top awards.
