Best In Show Line up Whippet Club Members Limited Breed Show

My thanks to the officers and committee for their invitation to judge at their show and for all their hospitality on the day. The venue is excellent being well laid out and the sportsmanship from the exhibitors, clapping the class winners made the day so very enjoyable. A special thank you to my very proficient stewards both for the morning and the afternoon who kept thing running smoothly for me all day.

Best Puppy in Show - Whippet Club Members' Limited breed show

MInor Puppy Dog (8,1 abs)

  1. Lawrence Saraqele Smooth Talkin Guy With Bryntreia
    Loved this party brindle boy of just 6 months of age who is full of breed type and shows great promise for the future. Correct in his head with dark, oval eyes and neat rose shaped ears all carried well by his muscular long neck. Well laid shoulders to his front with bladed bone and oval feet. Well sprung ribs to his deep chest and tucking up nicely to his muscular loin. Ample width to his rear with his stifles well bent and muscular in his thighs. When he settled on the move he covered the ground well with long easy strides. Best Puppy Dog.
  2. Smith Collooney Devils Advocate
    Brindle dog within size and again showing great promise for the future. Long and lean in his head with alert expression from his eyes. Good depth of brisket, reaching his elbows with his shoulders well laid and his rear complimenting his front perfectly enabling him to move with great freedom around the ring.

Puppy Dog (5,3 abs)

  1. Hoddinott Sandspring Sinatra
    Fawn who has an elegant outline with no exaggerations. Long, lean head with good underjaw and ample width between his eyes. Muscular neck which flows well down to his shoulders which are well laid and with flat muscle. His chest is deep with his ribs well sprung and tucking up well to his muscular loin. His rear is muscular with angles complimenting to his front and with good strong hocks. On the move he was able to move with long, easy strides and throwing his front legs forward and low to the ground.
  2. Osborne Derohan Dark Angel
    Handsome dog of larger size than winner but he again stands naturally over a lot of ground. Correct in his head with dark oval, expressive eyes and neat rose shaped ears. Muscular front with his moderately bladed bone and set equal length of shoulder blade to upper arm. Deep in his brisket and well sprung ribs to his body. His rear has muscular, well bent stifles which he used well showing great drive and a sound front action.

Junior Dog (5,2 abs)

  1. Piper Crosscop Hounds Of Love
    Well balanced fawn who stands naturally over plenty of ground. Typical in his head of ample width and length with an alert expression from his correctly set, oval eyes and all carried well by his elegantly arched neck of sufficient length. Well-made front with balancing length of shoulder to upper arm and with his elbows falling directly below his withers. Deep in his brisket with his ribs well sprung and keeping a good topline at all times. Graceful arch over his loin leading to broad, muscular rear with his stifles well bent. On the move he covered the ground effortlessly with long, free flowing strides and he was true coming and going.
  2. Norris Maccus Filius Flitwick
    Fawn and white nicely balanced throughout. Correct in his head and eye all carried well by his muscular neck. Good front assembly with nice bladed bone strong pasterns and tight feet. Good strong rear with muscular thighs and strong hocks. On the move he had good reach and drive, covering the ground effortlessly

    Brindle dog with a masculine head of correct proportions. Good front with his brisket deep and shoulders well laid back. Well sprung ribs to his body which tucks up nicely to his muscular, well arched loin. Well-muscled thighs to his rear with a moderate bend of stifle. He moved with sufficient length to his stride around the ring.

    Elegantly built fawn dog with a curvy outline. Correct in his head with dark, oval expressive eyes. Muscular, well-made front with nice bladed bone to his legs. Sufficient depth to his body with well sprung ribs. Muscular slightly arched loin leading to his well-made rear that complimented his front well. He moved soundly around the ring.

    Brindle dog well balanced in his outline and standing over plenty of ground. He excels in his head which is long and lean with alert, dark oval eyes. Good length of neck which leads smoothly into his well laid-back shoulders with good return of upper arm. Ample depth of chest reaching to his elbows and tucking up nicely to his loin. Well-developed thighs to his strong rear and well let down hocks. On the move he covered the ground well throwing his front legs forward and low over the ground with plenty of drive from behind.

    Well-built brindle brindle dog with an elegant outline. Typical in his head which he carries well on his long neck. Correct in his front and standing well on his straight forearms with his elbows tucked in by his side. Powerful rear with his stifles well bent and muscular. He moved effortlessly around the ring and was true coming and going.

  1. Cahill & Timberlake Shine On Harvey Moon at Chipperlake
    Loved this handsome dog who for me was full of breed type. Well balanced in his outline with graceful curves combining with muscular power and nothing exaggerated. Masculine head with good underjaw, slight stop and well-set oval eyes all carried well by his slightly arched long neck. His shoulders are well laid back with nice flat muscles, bladed bone to his to his forearms and good strong pasterns. Deep in his chest with well sprung ribs tucking up gracefully to his muscular loin and a firm back. Well-developed thighs with his stifles well bent and standing over plenty of ground. On the move he was able to cover the ground with long easy strides, keeping his topline at all times and he was true coming and going. Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex In Show.

    Well-made fawn dog with a curvy outline. He has a good head and eye with small rose shaped ears. Correct in his front with good depth of brisket, well laid shoulders and nice flat muscles. Good depth of chest and with a graceful tuck up to his loin. Powerfully made rear which compliments his front well. On the move he has great propulsion from behind and throwing his front legs forward low to the ground.

    Elegantly built dog with a well-balanced, curvy outline. Loved his head which tapers well to his muzzle and has dark, oval expressive eyes. Slightly arched neck of good length leads down to his well laid-back shoulders with good return of upper arm and his elbows fitting neatly beside his deep chest. Good strong back into his muscular loin and falling away nicely to his muscular, broad rear with his stifles well bent and standing well on his hocks. On the move he had an effortless striding action and was true coming and going keeping a good topline at all times.

    Well balanced dog who stands over plenty of ground. Correct in his head and eyes with neat, small rose shaped ears. Well made in his front with ample depth of brisket and good front assembly.     Quality fawn and white dog with a graceful outline and standing over plenty of ground he Long, lean head with good underjaw, slight stop and well set, dark oval eyes all carried well by his long neck which leads down smoothly into his withers. Well filled in his front with a deep brisket, well laid shoulders with balancing return of upper arms, flat muscles and nice bladed bone. His chest has ample depth and width with his back strong and his underline tucking up well to his muscular loin with arch over and falling away nicely to his rear. Good strong rear with muscular thighs, well bent stifles and strong hocks. On the move he covered the ground well with an effortless striding action, throwing his front legs nicely forward and low to the ground and with great drive from his rear. Reserve Best Dog.

    Nicely built brindle well balanced throughout his elegant outline. Typical in his head with good eyes and ears and carried well by his long neck. Good front with his elbows falling below his withers, good strong pasterns and oval feet with well arched toes. His chest tucks up nicely to his loin and leads into his well-made rear with good width across his thighs. He moved effortlessly around the ring with plenty of drive from his rear.

    At nearly nine years of age this fawn dog just showed his socks off. He has both elegance and gracefulness in his outline with plenty of muscular power. Correct in his head with an alert expression from his well-set oval eyes and neat rose shaped ears. Good length of neck leads down to his withers and well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm. Good depth of chest reaching his elbows with well sprung ribs and tucking up well to his loin. Well-made rear with his stifles nicely bent and muscular second thighs. He was true coming and going, moving with long free flowing strides around the ring and keeping a good topline at all times. Best Veteran Dog.
  2. Winstone Lolani Moonshine over Monelli JW
    Fawn and white dog of seven and a half years with an elegant outline and standing over plenty of ground. Correct in his head with good underjaw, oval well-set eye and good ears. Correct front with flat muscle and shoulders well laid all fitting well around his deep chest. His rear is muscular with his stifles well bent and good strong hocks. He moved effortlessly around the ring with long free and easy strides.

    Well-made dog presented in super hard condition and one I’m sure would be very fast around the track. Good head with alert expression from his oval eyes and neat rose shaped ears. Good front with bladed bone, strong pasterns and small oval shaped feet. Well sprung ribs to his body with sufficient tuck up to his muscular loin. Good broad thighs to his rear with well-developed second thighs and strong hocks. He moved well around the ring with good length to his stride and plenty of drive from his rear.
  2. Hoddinott Laguna Lynettes Lion
    Well-built dog of nice type and with superb muscle throughout. Correct in his head and carried well my his long neck with an alert expression from his oval eyes. Good strong front and standing well on his forelegs. Sufficient depth and width of chest with his loin slightly arched and muscular. His rear complimented his front well and enabled him to drive well around the ring effortlessly.

    Powerfully built fawn and white dog well balanced in his outline. He has a typical head of good length and flat on top with dark oval eyes. Long neck leading down to his front with his shoulders sloping and covered with good muscle. His body tucks up well to his powerful rear with his thighs broad and muscular. On the move he covered the ground effortlessly with long strides and plenty of drive around the ring.
  2. Graham Ohoka Tip Top
    Fawn dog of nice size who was well muscled throughout. Correct in his head and carried well by his neck. His front has nice bladed bone with his shoulders sloping and nice oval feet. His rear compliments his front well and allowed him to move effortlessly around the ring.

    Loved this young fawn who already is showing great promise for the future. Elegantly balanced with beautiful curves and standing over plenty of ground, she has a typical head long and lean with beautiful dark, oval expressive eyes. She carries her head proudly on her long, muscular neck which flows down well into her excellent shoulders which are well laid back, with good return of upper arms and flat muscles. Well filled in her front with her brisket deep and her elbows fitting nicely beside her deep chest which tucks up nicely. Muscular short loin falling away gracefully to her excellent rear construction with her thighs muscular and her stifles well bent. On the move she was true coming and going whilst keeping a good topline. She covered the ground well with a long easy stride and throwing her front legs low over the ground. Reserve Best Bitch and Reserve Best In Show I could have easily taken her home with me.
  2. Derohan Desert Orchid
    Pleasing young brindle bitch so full of breed type and who was so very well handled by her young handler. She again is both elegant and graceful in her outline. Correct in her head with good underjaw and expressive eyes. Well made in her front with her rear complimenting it perfectly and with excellent muscle. She was true in her movement covering the ground with long, effortless strides.

On the move she covered the ground with good length to her stride and with great drive from her rear.

    Elegant fawn with white with a curvy, graceful outline. She is typical in her head which she carries well on her long neck. Good front with her shoulders sloping and nice bladed bone to her forelegs. Her body has sufficient depth and tucks up nicely to her rear. Good width of thighs to her rear with angles complimenting her front and strong hocks. She moved well around the ring.

    My hands just flowed over this beautifully made bitch who is so typical of the breed being both powerfully built and with plenty of elegance. On the stack she stands over plenty of ground and she has a beautiful, curvy outline. Feminine head of good length and width, with good strong underjaw and expressive dark oval eyes. She carried her head well on her long, slightly arched and muscular neck which flowed down well to her withers. She has equal distance between her withers and her pin bones which shows in her parallel movement. Well laid shoulders with balancing return of upper arm, nice bladed bone and good strong pasterns. Good fore chest with nice depth of brisket and her ribs well sprung extending well back and her underline tucking up well to her loin and she keeps a good strong topline at all times. Her rear has muscular, broad thighs with her stifles well bent and good strong hocks. On the move she was both effortless and true, throwing her front legs nicely forward, low top the ground and with plenty of drive from her rear. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and later Best In Show.

Deep in her chest with her underline curving up well to her short loin. Her rear is muscular and compliments her front perfectly. She moved effortlessly around the ring.

Strong back leading to a graceful arch over her loin and falling away well to her powerful rear with good bend of stifles and strong hocks. On the move she covered the ground well with ease showing good reach and drive as well as being true coming and going.

    Larger type bitch with a balanced and graceful outline. Typical in her head and carried well by her long neck. Good front of ample depth and width with her shoulders sloping and well laid back. Good fall away to her rear with her angulation complimenting her front. On the move she was effortless with great drive from her rear.

To her rear she has broad, muscular thighs with her stifles well bent and good strong hocks. On thew move she covered the ground with a free and easy effortless gait.

    Well-made fawn bitch who at nine and a half years of age still presented an elegant, balanced outline and kept her topline whilst moving. Typical in her head with her eyes set correctly and giving an alert expression from her dark, oval shaped eyes. Good reach of neck with slight arch which flows down nicely into her well laid-back shoulders with nice flat muscles, well filled in front and with good strong pasterns. Her body has ample depth with a firm well-muscled back and her underline tucks up nicely to her muscular loin. Powerful rear with broad muscular thighs and her stifles well bent. On the move she covered the ground well, throwing her front legs forward and low to the ground and with great drive from her rear and she was true coming and going. Best Veteran Bitch and Best Veteran In Show.

    Brindle bitch of just over 7 years of age, typical in her outline with graceful curves and standing over plenty of ground. Correct in her head proportions with alert expression from her dark, oval eyes. Well made in her front with her chest deep reaching to her elbows and tucking up nicely to her loin. Powerful rear with here stifles well bent and muscular thighs. On the move she was effortless, covering the ground with long, free strides. Best Racing And Coursing In Show.
