Much consideration has been given before making the difficult decision to cancel this Sunday’s (29th June) 2nd WCRA Championships.
The forecast heatwave has temperatures of 27-29 degrees for the local area of Shuttington over the coming weekend and the Committee feel it is in the best interests of everyone, especially the dogs.
Indeed, the team that work to set up the bend on the Saturday would have to work through the heat of the afternoon as we only have access to the ground from midday.
We know that many of you will be disappointed but hope that you will understand that it has been done with the health and safety of our dogs being paramount.
We will consider rescheduling this Championships for later in the year, if at all viable, in which case we will re-open the entry and redraw the racing.
