As you’re aware, The Whippet Club have made the decision to separate the racing/lure coursing classes at their forthcoming shows which means there will be special classes just for WCRA passported dogs and bitches. There is also a Trophy for Best Racing Dog exhibit which has been won previously by racing bred dogs including last year.
In advance of The Whippet Club Open Show on Saturday, 23rd September – for any racers who might be interested in entering this show, we will hold a brief talk-in/demonstration in the break before the finals at the 3rd WCRA Championships – just to provide an outline of what to expect at a typical show. Copies of the entry form will also be available. Also, there is another show in January 2024 and a Championship show in April both shows will also feature separate racing classes for both genders.
It is the first time for many years that racers have this opportunity, so we want to provide help and advice to all those that might be interested and encourage you to take a look. Come and see us in the car park outside the hall.
