2020 has become a memorable year but a desperately sad one for many, many people – the effects of which will affect us for some time to come.

Our first priority has to be that of the racers’ health and recent developments regarding the pandemic are worrying therefore we have made the decision to cancel all our Championships this year.

Obviously we were looking forward to celebrating our Golden Anniversary in 2020, with so many of us racers in the older generation the health risk is simply too great.  However, we do intend to carry over our 50th into 2021.

We can confirm that our dates for the Championships next year are 9th May, 13th June, 8th August and 3rd October – details such as the format will be provided at a later date.

Whilst not all the Clubs have been able to get back to racing; those that have are helping to train youngsters and give them much needed experience on the track.

We have also decided to carry over the Club Affiliations into 2021 so there will be nothing to pay for those Clubs that affiliated this year – the same will apply for passport stickers.

Any Opens that run this year for Superstars will be carried over and the points won added to the 2021 leagues where appropriate.

Concern, as always, is for the health and welfare of our participants and there are clearly unprecedented and challenging times ahead for us all.

Naturally we hope that normal racing will be resumed when it is safe to do so but in the meantime we wish each and every one of you good health, so please take care and keep safe.
